When to consult

It is human nature to desire a happy and purposeful life. Yet, we are often bombarded by life transitions, challenges, losses and pressures, which make it difficult to adjust and maintain our own wellbeing.  Consequently, we find ourselves sitting with overwhelming emotions, that tire us and rob us from having meaningful relationships and achieving our goals in life.

Psychotherapy aims to create awareness in our ineffective thinking, acting, feeling and interaction patterns. This insight, paired with new skills, allows us to alter our approach, in order for us to live a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

My approach

I have a special interest in working within the cognitive behavioural domains (Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), which focusses on altering ineffective thought and behavioural patterns, in order to become more resilient and find meaning in our difficulties. This enables us to live a rich and fulfilling life. However, I do incorporate other approaches to meet the unique need of each and every client.
